INTRODUCING THE KETTLE® KHOO ACADEMY

Following a successful first year, the KETTLE® Khoo Academy returns for its second season in partnership with acclaimed chef, author, and TV presenter Rachel Khoo. The Acadamy is a mentoring programme supporting aspiring chefs seeking a career in gourmet food. While applications are open to all, we especially encourage women to apply as we recognize there is a disparity of women in professional kitchens making up 18.5%* of chefs in the UK.

Launching in October 2025, the six-month KETTLE® Khoo Academy will support five aspiring chefs through virtual workshops led by industry experts, covering brand building, social media, accounting, and sustainability. Participants will also take part in creative sessions with Rachel Khoo and receive a £4,000 bursary to support their training and development.

How to Apply

Applications will be open for six weeks from 8th July 2025 to 22nd August 2025, and successful applicants will be announced on 5th September 2025.

Candidates must share a post on social media (Instagram, Facebook, or X only), tagging @KettleChipsUK and using the hashtag #KettleKhooAcademy. The post must explain who they are and their location (name and county), why they would like to be considered for the KETTLE® Khoo Academy, and what their dream gourmet KETTLE® chip flavour would be and why.

Alongside the post, applicants must send a short written bio to the KETTLE® Khoo
Academy email address: apply@kettlekhooacademy.com. This should include their culinary journey so far, career ambitions in the food industry, availability for the 6-month programme, and a link to the social media application post.
